The film’s animation technique combines traditional hand-drawn animation and extensive use of computer generated imagery.
Film critic Roger Ebert gave it 3.5/4 stars for its “rousing story”, “largeness of spirit”, and “lush galactic visuals [which] are beautiful in the same way photos by the Hubble Space Telescope are beautiful”. He cited the Ice Rings sequence as “a perfect examine [sic] of what animation can do and live action cannot”.

In the film, a disillusioned genius inventor (Clooney) and a teenage science enthusiast (Robertson) embark to an ambiguous alternate dimension known as “Tomorrowland”, where their actions directly affect their own world.Walt Disney Pictures originally announced the film in June 2011 under the working title 1952, and later retitled it to Tomorrowland, after the futuristic themed land found at Disney theme parks. In drafting their story, Bird and Lindelof took inspiration from the progressive cultural movements of the Space Age, as well as Walt Disney‘s optimistic philosophy of the future, notably his conceptual vision for the planned community known as EPCOT.

Geostorm is a 2017 American disaster film co-written, produced, and directed by Dean Devlin as his feature film directorial debut. The film stars are Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Maria Lara, Richard Schiff, Robert Sheehan, Daniel Wu, Eugenio Derbez, Ed Harris, and Andy García. The plot follows a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by malfunctioning climate-controlling satellites.
Clash of the Titans is a 2010 British-American fantasy adventure film and remake of the 1981 film of the same name produced by MGM (the rights to which had been acquired by Warner Bros. in 1996). The story is very loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus. Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, A sequel, Wrath of the Titans, was released in March 2012. A third film titled Revenge of the Titans was in development but later cancelled due to Wrath of the Titans’ disappointing box office performance.
