Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network. The series centers on  two half-brothers who travel across a strange forest in order to find their way home, encountering odd and wonderful things on their journey. The show is based on McHale’s animated short film Tome of the Unknown, which was produced as part of Cartoon Network Studios‘ shorts development program. The show features Elijah Wood and Collin Dean as the protagonists Wirt and Greg, and Melanie Lynskey as a bluebird named Beatrice. Over the Garden Wall was broadcast throughout the week of November 3, 2014 to November 7, 2014.

The series’ environment evokes 19th- and 20th-century Americana, while its digital backgrounds are designed to resemble grisaille paintings.

It is adapted from John Pearson‘s book The Profession of Violence: The Rise and Fall of the Kray Twins,  which deals with the rise and fall of the Kray twins; the relationship that bound them together, and charts their gruesome career to their downfall and imprisonment for life in 1969.

Rotten Tomatoes’ consensus reads, “As a gangster biopic, Legend is deeply flawed, but as a showcase for Tom Hardy – in a dual role, no less – it just about lives up to its title.”

Stranger Things is an American science fiction-horror web television series created, written, directed and co-executive produced by the Duffer Brothers The Duffer Brothers developed the series as a mix of investigative drama alongside supernatural elements with childlike sensibilities, establishing its time frame in the 1980s and creating a homage to pop culture of that decade.
